ARTIST'S STATEMENT
In these drawings, animals find themselves in ambiguous situations. Some sit in trees, float in water, or hang upside down. Some fall from the sky, kiss, swim, or drown. Goats and rabbits hear voices, converse in whispers, and hide. Bears and goats listen intently and may have ulterior motives. These animals are caught in peculiar circumstances and seem to evaluate various options and escapes. They approach this riddle using their primal instinct and intuition. Potential outcomes are often unclear. Will the goat address this situation with reason and intelligence or act impulsively and erratically? Will the bear's next action cause further predicaments or lead to greater stability?
